I'M MEGAN

I’m so excited to have you here.  I’m Megan, a mom of three amazing kids, wife to my best friend (we met when we were just 11!), and someone who has been lucky enough to turn a love of hair into a career I truly adore.

I’ve always loved fashion and style, experimenting with different looks and putting together outfits that felt fun and confident. That love of style naturally led me to hair, where I could bring that same energy and sense of beauty to my clients. I left Michigan for beauty school in Florida, and that decision launched a career I love and continue to grow every day.

Since then, my journey has been full of learning and creating. I’ve worked in high-volume salons, refined my coloring and styling techniques, and even opened my own micro salon. Owning a salon taught me so much about running a business and creating a space where clients feel cared for, confident, and beautiful.

In 2020, my family and I moved to Apex, and I’ve loved bringing my passion for hair and creativity to this community. My focus is on the services I love most: blondes, brunettes, and extensions. I know the challenges and upkeep that come with each, and I love guiding clients through transformations that feel healthy, realistic, and perfectly tailored to their lifestyle.

The name Pine & Salt was inspired by what I love most about North Carolina. From the pine covered mountains to the salt air of the coast. It represents balance: natural yet elevated, effortless yet intentional. Just like great hair should feel. This studio is a reflection of that... calm, grounded, and beautiful.

Outside of the salon, life is full, lively, and joyful. Between school drop-offs, hockey and basketball games, rowing regattas, kitchen adventures, and family outings, I still find time for the gym and plenty of laughs with my husband and kids. Life is busy and rewarding, and I bring that same energy, dedication, and joy to my work.
